It’s time to go back to school!
Are your students with diabetes prepared to manage their condition during the school day?

Children with diabetes need to be supported to manage their diabetes throughout the day, including in early morning lessons, physical education classes, and late afternoon extracurricular activities. Sometimes their diabetes management requires the assistance of an adult on the school campus. Regardless of their level of self-management, all children with diabetes have the right to equal access to school activities.

To learn more about the rights of students with diabetes and tools for helping them succeed with diabetes management during the school day, follow the link below to a new resource from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
